My fitness challenge is to not only burn fat but to tone up. I have lost so much muscle tone that there is no definition in my legs or arms. What is the best workout to tone up?

I just started running so my goal is to try to progress up to a 5 mile run.

My fitness goal is to workout at least 1 hour a day for at least 3 to 4 days a week. Currently it has only been about 30 mins. for only 1 to 2 days a week. I probably need to change up my workout maybe find something out doors. I using my goal sheet to try and stay on track.
