  • 2 cups of diced watermelon
  • 1 cup of frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup of peach juice
  • 1 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt


Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
This recipe makes two tall glasses.

    You should stay away from high sugar fruits (great fruits to include are blueberries or strawberries). And a great smoothie to conside is the Dr. Oz Green Shake it has a lot of great veggies that are low in sugar.

    Here's a 'low carb' recipe for an example – 

    Strawberry and Tofu Smoothie Recipe 

    • 1 cup frozen strawberries (don't defrost, if using fresh berries, freeze them first) 
    • 1 cup ice 
    • 1 cup ice water 
    • 1/2 cup heavy cream (to lighten up, substitute water or low fat milk) 
    • 1/4 cup sugar substitute (recommended: Splenda) 
    • 3 1/2 ounces soft or silken tofu 
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (there should be no sugar in the ingredient list) 

    Nutrition Information: 

    Nutritional Analysis per serving Calories 140 

    Fat 12 grams Saturated Fat 7 grams 

    Carbohydrates 7 grams Fiber 2 grams
